Welcome to the 1st & 2nd Brooklyn FNE
The 1st & 2nd Brooklyn FNE is a catholic youth movement. We are members of the Federation of North American Explorers (FNE), and the Federation of Scouts of Europe (UIGSE-FSE). Our pedagogy complements family education. We help children to grow into accountable, strong and happy Christian citizens, open to others, consistent in their thoughts, words and actions, i.e. into reliable grown-ups.
Otters
from 6 to 7 year old ; 1rst and 2nd grade
Share : The Otters form a colony that includes both girls and boys. The colony is a space where children strengthen their self-esteem, nurture their faith, create friendships, and learn to respect nature.
Timber Wolves
from 8 to 12 year old ; 3rd to 7th grade
A Team Spirit : children are organized in gender-specific teams called packs, each with its own leadership.
Explorers
From 12 to 16 year old; 8th to 11th grade
Always Ready to Serve : Explorers grow in the scouting adventure in autonomous patrols of 6-8 members, under the leadership of a Patrol Leader.
