A spirit of teamwork<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

The children are organized into gender-specific groups led by parents. The girls form a \"clearing\" and the boys form a \"pack\". Timber Wolves form a close-knit and joyful group called the \"happy family\".<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A framework<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Both in the clearing and the pack, the children observe the same customs. The law, the motto (\"do our best\"), the maxims, the good deed (GD), the gatherings, and the songs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

An imaginary world<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

The games and activities are based on an imaginary framework inspired by Rudyard Kipling's \"The Jungle Book\". The Timber wolves go on hunts when they play; they gather at the Council Rock to discuss their activities; they take certain characters as role models, and so on.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Doing one's best and improving<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

The Timber Wolves are encouraged to always \"do their best\". The children's progression is marked by the following stages:<\/p>\n\n\n

\r\n Welcome to the clearing or the pack<\/span>\r\n \r\n <\/i><\/span>\r\n <\/i><\/span>\r\n <\/span>\r\n <\/div>\r\n
\r\n

It is a formal welcome from the entire clearing or pack. Each child, called a \"tender foot\", is personally welcomed during a gathering and entrusted to the care of a six. The youngest children are under the protection of the older ones.<\/p>\n <\/div>\r\n \r\n

\r\n Promise<\/span>\r\n \r\n <\/i><\/span>\r\n <\/i><\/span>\r\n <\/span>\r\n <\/div>\r\n
\r\n

This is a very important step where the \"tender foot\" becomes a full-fledged timber wolf. A wolf badge (the promise wolf) is then sewn onto the beret. The promise ceremony involves parents, the clearing or the pack, and the religious counselor (RC).<\/p>\n <\/div>\r\n \r\n

\r\n First star<\/span>\r\n \r\n <\/i><\/span>\r\n <\/i><\/span>\r\n <\/span>\r\n <\/div>\r\n
\r\n

The wolves grow in wisdom and autonomy, increase their knowledge, and earn their first star, placed on the beret to the right of the promise wolf. It is said that the little wolf has opened its first eye.<\/p>\n <\/div>\r\n \r\n

\r\n Second star<\/span>\r\n \r\n <\/i><\/span>\r\n <\/i><\/span>\r\n <\/span>\r\n <\/div>\r\n
\r\n

Being among the oldest, the wolves continue to expand the scope of their knowledge and gradually become role models for the younger ones. By passing a certain number of challenges, they earn their second star, placed on the beret to the left of the promise wolf. The wolf then opens its second eye.<\/p>\n <\/div>\r\n \r\n

\r\n Badges<\/span>\r\n \r\n <\/i><\/span>\r\n <\/i><\/span>\r\n <\/span>\r\n <\/div>\r\n
\r\n

In their final year in the clearing or the pack, the little wolves are invited to choose to earn proficiency badges based on their aspirations. The obtained badges are represented by a sewn badge on the uniform, publicly displaying the acquired skills.<\/p>\n <\/div>\r\n \r\n

\r\n Transition to the company or the troop<\/span>\r\n \r\n <\/i><\/span>\r\n <\/i><\/span>\r\n <\/span>\r\n <\/div>\r\n
\r\n

It is both a departure - leaving behind the world of children - and an arrival in the realm of the older ones, the Explorers. The adventure continues with the patrol system.<\/p>\n <\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
