A patrol of Explorers can be spotted since they embody the Explorer\u2019s mindset. We encourage action, deliberate decisions, et constant improvement. That\u2019s why high standards is a priority.<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Camping<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

The goal is camping, not glamping ! Explorers constantly focus on camping techniques, the bedrock of scoutism : neat tent, backpacks lined up, mats rolled, crates and cookware put away, and tools gathered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Healthy daily routine<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

No sleep-in with the Explorers. The patrol is up at 7:30 and gathered for morning prayer. At 22:30 at the latest, the patrol goes to bed in silence after vigil. This healthy daily routine underpins the Explorers\u2019 life style.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cooking<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Explorers make a point to cook, which means heating canned food is not recommended. Instead, produce and fresh ingredients are highly recommended.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dishwashing<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

During meals, Explorers typically heat water anticipating dish washing that is always done with hot water. Pots and pans are cleaned right after each meal both inside and outside.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Personal hygiene<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Hygiene is part of the Explorer\u2019s mindset. Explorers wash daily. If a swift clean up suffices in the morning, a thorough clean up is done at the end of the day.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Uniform<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

By default Explorers are in impeccable uniform, especially when traveling. At camp, during certain activities, such as setup or cloth-washing day, patrols can wear a camp outfit that needs to be similar for all: t-shirt, neckerchief, bermuda, skirt or skort.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vigil<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Vigil is attended with an outfit matching the overall vigil\u2019s theme to enliven this activity that caps the day: for example poncho and bandana over the head, or costume in line with the camp\u2019s theme. Explorers are used to sing their hearts out and perform well-structured and rehearsed skits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Explorers Law<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

All patrol members know the Explorer\u2019s Law. Periodically, the Explorer\u2019s Law is pronounced to not only ensure all remember it but also help with its implementation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Religion<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

As Christians, our mindset follows Christ\u2019s teaching. As a result, Explorers strive to follow Jesus\u2019 footsteps, pray, and adore the Holy Host with Mary, our heavenly Mother.
